NASA/Ohio Space Grant Consortium Request for Proposals for University - Industry Research
The Ohio Space Grant Consortium (OSGC), which is supported by the NASA Office of Education, solicits proposals from faculty members to conduct research on a topic of significant value to an Ohio industry. One $30,000 to $40,000 grant will be awarded annually. The research must involve students. It is the responsibility of the faculty and students to identify an industrial partner and obtain their support. Please read the Selection Criteria listed below carefully in order that your proposal can satisfy all of the grant requirements.
Selection Criteria (in order of importance)
- Matching cash support must be obtained from an industrial sponsor located in Ohio for equipment, faculty salary and student financial aid.
- Relevance of research to aeronautics, space and earth sciences, and supporting technologies.
- Likelihood that the R&D effort will enhance the Ohio industrial base.
- Meaningful collaborative effort by two or more Ohio universities that increases technical capability and/or improves the likelihood of successful accomplishment of the R&D.
- In-kind support of a federal agency (e.g., NASA GRC or Wright-Patterson AFB) based on expected contribution to one of their specific programs.
