OSGC includes 13 member universities, 4 participating universities, 6 community colleges, and the Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI), which is the consortium's fiscal agent and lead institution. OSGC's primary mission is to increase significantly the national capability in technology, math, science, and engineering. The Consortium awards scholarships and fellowships for college students, mini-grants for K-12 activities, and seed grants in the areas of precollege outreach, higher education, research infrastructure, and university-industry collaborations. The Vision of the Ohio Space Grant Consortium is to lead in the creation of an environment in the State of Ohio that will encourage significant educational and research contributions in science, engineering, mathematics, and technology, while stimulating an understanding and appreciation for aeronautics and space.
